These heirloom, archival portraits begin with a photograph and end with a hand-painted, mixed media Fine Art Gicleé Canvas that rivals a traditional oil painting.
Each painting is a custom work of art created using both the latest technology and traditional oils, and is an heirloom that will passed down for generations.
The Process
Each painting begins with a portrait study. Â The first step is a consultation to discuss the look and feel of your painting, color schemes, and any special or sentimental elements to include. Based on the consultation, Â Adrienne will photograph your subject to create a gallery of poses and expressions, and then work with you to select the best portrait for your painting.
The goal is a painting that reflects something significant about who the subject is, whether the subject is a baby just beginning to walk, or a child with a special lovey, a senior in high school who loves soccer, or a bride with an heirloom veil. Â Each painting is created to celebrate and commemorate the most precious people in your life.
Painting the Portrait
Once the photograph has been prepared, the image is digitally hand-painted, stroke by stroke, using a variety of digital brushes and techniques designed to mimic the look of a traditional oil painting.Â
This process allows the artist full creative expression while still maintaining the likeness of the subject, something that can be lost in a traditional oil painting.
Next the painting is printed on fine art canvas using pigment-based inks that result in a Giclée canvas.Â
The canvas is then physically painted with a blend of artist oils and mediums that are creatively applied to the painting to enhance the authentic look and feel of the canvas, and finally the painting is signed by the artist.
The result is a stunning work of art that preserves the likeness of the subject while adding the warmth and texture of a traditional painting.

Summer Sessions 2025 Special

The session price includes the custom portrait session, gallery of images, and a 16x20 Fine Art Giclée Canvas Painted Portrait, framed in a beautiful bronze frame. The price also includes a digital download of the photos in your gallery as a keepsake.

About the Artist
Adrienne has been painting using traditional methods for many years and is a trained digital artist. In fact, if she has ever taken your picture, you were probably posed in front of one of her hand-painted backgrounds! She has won several awards for her digital portraits and has been published in Elevate Your Art magazine, a periodical for excellence in digital artistry.
